Add section

Style sets the look. Hold or Crawl on each section sets the motion. Crawl sections that sit together play as one roll, with each section heading as the break.

Projects

Edits autosave in this browser. Save to current project writes over the open project. Save as new project stores a separate copy and leaves the open project as it is.

Load a project, then use Save to current project.

Scroll groups

Put crawl sections in a group, then set one total time. Every section in Group A scrolls together as one roll. 1 minute is the time for the whole group, not for each section. Click “Click sections into this group”, then click the group button on each section. The section stays closed.

Roll timing

This is the running total. A hero set to 1 second takes 1 second, fade included. Group A set to 1 minute takes 1 minute. Start early on the end image fades that picture in on top of the crawl, that many seconds before the roll ends. A crawl with no group time uses the default speed, so it can push the image much later.

Credit sections

Add a person on a new row with the same Block ID as that section, then click Update from sheet. That person joins the section you already styled. A new Block ID is added as a new section at the end. Styles, scroll groups, timing, sizes, and sections that exist only here stay. Import Google Sheet replaces the whole roll.

Style templates

Pick a section type, then set its font and colors. Every section of that type uses the same look.

Frame

Full screen fills the output. Left, Right, and Bottom park the credits in a panel and leave the rest of the frame clear so program video can show through in Caspar.

All text

These change the font, size, and colors for every section style at once.

Line width is how much of the credit panel the words use. Wider keeps a credit on fewer lines.

Drop shadow puts a dark edge under the type. Glow adds a soft halo. Use either one when the credits sit on a bright picture.

Global roll

Fade in starts from a clear frame, then the credits come up. On first frame shows them at full strength on frame 1. Fade in (sec) is how long that fade takes.

Scroll smoothing eases an uneven frame. The crawl distance stays fixed for the whole roll, so the type keeps one steady speed.

Alpha is the transparency of the background color. rgba(0, 0, 0, 1). 100% is solid. 0% is clear, so the web live page shows the picture behind the credits. The preview checkerboard marks the clear areas.

Export video

Choose folder saves frame_00001.png, frame_00002.png, and so on onto this computer. That works on the website and on the local server. On the local server you can also type a full path and let the server write the files. Open the folder while it renders to watch each image appear. 1920×1080 is the same 16:9 roll as the preview. 3840×2160 draws that layout at twice the resolution. With Transparent on, every PNG keeps the clear background.

Companion

Two Generic HTTP buttons, GET or POST. Rerack parks the roll on the first frame. Play starts it from the top. The playout page has to be open on this same site. A result with live 0 means that output page is not connected.
